Preoptometry
Noted for its rigorous science programs and research, Luther offers preprofessional training for the study of optometry. Typically, preoptometry students are biology majors who incorporate advanced study in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
Students may apply to optometry school after three years of undergraduate study, but most students accepted by a school or college of optometry complete their undergraduate degree.
Many Luther students attend the Illinois College of Optometry or Indiana University, but students are prepared to enter any of the 19 professional schools in North America.
