As preparation for a vocation, there may be no major more versatile than mathematics. Luther mathematics majors have pursued advanced degrees in pure and applied mathematics; the physical, biological, and social sciences; engineering; and professions such as medicine and law.

Others are in the work force as accountants, bankers, editors, engineers, human resources personnel, insurance representatives, sales managers, small business owners, software engineers, teachers, and underwriters.
