Graduate Study

Many Luther students work toward advanced degrees, either immediately upon earning the bachelor of arts degree or after gaining a few years of professional experience. Graduates continue their studies in the disciplines of the department or enter a professional school, such as law school. In the past few years, economics and business majors have earned scholarships and fellowships at major universities throughout the nation.

Career Opportunities

Recruiters and representatives of business, government agencies, and other organizations visit the campus throughout the year to interview seniors for internships and permanent employment.

Luther accounting majors are in high demand among recruiters from the major international accounting firms, as well as national, regional, and local CPA firms. Management and accounting majors are sought by representatives of the nation's largest corporations, including Aetna Insurance, Cargill, Fastenal, General Mills, Honeywell, Hormel, IBM, Investors Diversified Services, John Deere, Life Investors, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Osco Drug, Principal, Target, Wells Fargo, various government departments, and others.

Luther graduates also opt for service careers in Christian ministry, health administration, the Peace Corps, and similar organizations.
