The Torrison Scholarship provides grants for men and women who intend to pursue careers in medicine and have been accepted in a medical school. The donors had a particular concern to encourage persons whose careers would lead them toward working to alleviate currently incurable diseases.
The Torrison Scholarship provides up to three years of education for graduating seniors with membership in the ELCA who are pursuing careers in medicine.
Luther's nomination is required. If interested, contact Terry Sparkes, Director of College Honors, or the Biology department head for more information on applying.
The application deadline is typically around April 30.
