Notice of a Tenure-Eligible Position in French

Assistant Professor of French - full-time, tenure-eligible position.

Beginning Date
Late August 2010

Qualifications
Required:  PhD, specialization open; demonstrated teaching excellence at all levels of college French language, literature, and culture; superior language proficiency in French and English; proficiency in current language-teaching methodology and technology, a strong commitment to teaching in a private liberal arts setting, experience and interest in leading regular study abroad courses in France, experience and interest in directing student research and organizing student extracurricular activities. Desirable: ACTFL OPI training, expertise in interdisciplinary research and teaching. 

Responsibilities
Full-time teaching duties include six course load distributed over the fall, January and spring terms to include courses in language, literature and culture.  Rotating study-abroad courses in January-Term.

Salary Range
Commensurate with academic qualifications and professional experience.
