Commencement 2009
The commencement ceremony will be held outside in Carlson Stadium at 10 am, Sunday, May 24.
The ceremony is a ticketed event. Each graduate is allowed up to six tickets. On-campus graduates may pick up their tickets at the Box Office beginning April 1. Mid-semester graduates, student teachers, and Rochester nursing students will have their tickets mailed directly to them. Tickets for study-abroad students will be sent to their parents.
Caps and gowns may also be picked up at the Luther Bookstore on April 1 and 2.
Physically challenged ticketed guests are invited to sit on the college track. Those with a hearing impairment should contact the Campus Programming office (563.387.1293 or 563.387.1538) in advance to request the services of a certified signer and secure special seating.
Guests without tickets will find closed-circuit television viewing in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall, Helen Farwell Lounge (Farwell Hall), and Marty’s Cybercafé (Dahl Centennial Union).
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Regents Center. Call 563.387.1732 after 7 am Sunday for weather-related announcements. Should the ceremony be moved to the Regents Center, only four tickets will be valid; other attendees are invited to view the ceremony on large-screen, closed-circuit television in the Center for Faith and Life.
Parking
Guests are asked to park in the Jenson-Noble, Nustad, Regents Center, and Farwell parking lots. Please avoid parking on streets and in staff parking lots.
Those staying in Brandt Hall should use the Nustad and Jenson-Noble parking lots.
Notice: All streets are now two-way with limited parking.
