Valders Memorial Hall of Science
Valders Memorial Hall of Science, opened and dedicated in 1961, is home for the departments of biology, chemistry, nursing, physics, and psychology. In addition to faculty offices, classrooms, and laboratories, Valders has a planetarium, at times open to the public, and a research-grade greenhouse. Principle donors for the building, Louis and Moude Olson, asked that it be named for the Valdres area in Norway and Valders, Wisconsin, where Mr. Olson's ancestors lived.
