Drivers and Support Vehicles
It is impossible to do a race of this distance without having a steadfast and supportive crew to help you along. The support crew is responsible for many things - making sure each runner reaches their exchange point, cheering along runners on the course, and making sure that everyone is properly fed and hydrated.
Each team is responsible for providing a support vehicle. Teams are limited to a maximum of 2 vehicles and only one may be at an exchange point at anytime (to prevent traffic congestion). Vehicles may not be longer than 20' (i.e. no motorhomes, buses, RVs, or limos).
Support vehicles are not permitted to pace or drive immediately behind or ahead of a runner on either the road or the shoulder. When cheering on runners, find a safe spot to pull off where the vehicle will not impede traffic or runners.
All Drivers must have a valid drivers licenses and proper insurance.
